An entry-level role in technology sales, as a Business or Sales Development Representative, does not require a technical background. Instead, what is more important, is your knowledge related to the product you're selling, which is learnt on the job and during your ramp time, also known as your training period in the first few months of the role. However, having a fundamental understanding of how software systems, applications, and the internet works, are beneficial in helping you land your first technology sales role.
